CHICAGO IL, USA – Mexican Dance Ensemble, a non for profit Chicago based dance troupe, is pleased to announce their 2010 European Tour.

Mexican Dance Ensemble (MDE) is a non-profit organization focused on providing a challenging environment that promotes cultural awareness, preserves Mexican Folklore, and cultivates dance by striving to reach a high level of artistic excellence. The company’s main objectives are to keep our young people away from idleness and nonproductive activities, offer a Mexican performing platform for emerging artists, and expand the importance and value of the arts and the artist community.

After a successful 2008 tour, MDE is returning to Europe in an effort to keep presenting the best of the Mexican culture to various countries through dance. “It’s an honor to be back in Europe where we can show how far we can go when we decide to express how proud we are of our roots and it’s a pleasure to share this with the people on the other side of the world” says Samuel Cortez, director of this company. Twelve enthusiastic dancers will be visiting cities such as Lisbon and Matosinhos in Portugal, Pont de Salars, Le Truel, Luc-Primaube, and Espalion in France, and Barcelona and Madrid in Spain to perform in beautifully crafted costumes, accompanied by live music.

MDE will depart on Wednesday July 14th and will return on Thursday August 12th, after performing in Portugal, Spain and France.
